Some of the trails have streams and standing water, so this is useful to help dry our boots in the car. The 80W heat helps dry things fast, and it noticeably reduces moisture and odor. This came with just the car adapter, but there is a a wall adapter available to purchase separately. The patented fan technology that was developed in Norway, is quite powerful. It’s lightweight but 'delivers high-pressure air that is powerful enough to heat a small cabin.' It’s simple to set up and use. The airflow is consistent, and it dries without feeling too harsh on materials. I also like that it works for gloves and other gear, not just shoes. If you work and/or play outside in all sorts of weather, this is very useful to have in the car. It's a bit of an investment, but well worth it to help keep shoes and other clothing items from getting smelly or sour, especially when traveling.

This is a portable boot dryer set although you could also use it for caps or gloves I think. It is a set of two shoe tree shaped warm air blowers powered by a 12V wire and adapter which is meant to fit into the power port on your car. If you want to use this at home, you are going to need an adapter which plugs into your wall outlet and allows you to plug the device into home current instead of the car. I am going to rant that at this price, a home adapter should be in the box when it arrives and not an option you need to purchase. Otherwise, the little dryers seem to work pretty well and are compact and quite portable--easy to toss into your ski bag or even leave in your car. Drying a pair of puddle wet boots took about a half an hour--not much fuss or noise. Construction is lightweight but solid and the device is narrow enough to fit even into a pair of kid's sneakers if you want. Only complain is the lack of adapter for home use.

Great for drying your work boots fast on the go , IT plugs into a lighter outlet in your car or truck. Its not very loud and it does work fast. Only thing is I wish you could plug it into a regular wall outlet.

Draws too much power when compared to the competition and runs too hot in my opinion .

This show/boot dryer is a great item for us to have! Our kids often have wet shoes or boots. It doesn’t matter them time of year, they’re probably going to have wet feet no matter the precautions I take. So this handy dandy item helps us out big time! It definitely dries shoes quickly, but you have to make sure that the dryer isn’t shoved in too tightly, it needs airflow to work! We just keep this in our truck because that’s usually what we’re driving when the weather is wet and/or when we’re on the farm. It doesn’t take up much room, it’s really easy to operate, and it cuts drying time down to a tiny fraction of what it would be to let the shoes air dry. This would be really great for avid campers or hikers too .

I picked up one of these portable boot and shoe dryers mainly because I was tired of dealing with damp work boots after slushy commutes and wet weekends here in the Northeast. First thing I’ll say is the size is legit impressive. It’s small enough that I can just toss it in a bag or leave it in the car without it being in the way, which is exactly what I wanted. Performance-wise, it actually works better than I expected. It pushes warm air through pretty quickly and I’ve had boots that were pretty damp be wearable again in around 20–30 minutes. If they’re absolutely soaked, it’s not magic—it still takes longer—but for normal wet-from-snow-or-rain situations, it does the job. The fact that it runs off both car power and a regular outlet is a big plus for me. I’ve used it on the drive home from ski trips and also plugged it in overnight at home. Heat output feels safe. It doesn’t blast anything super hot, more like steady warm air, so I’m not worried about it wrecking my boots or gloves. I’ve even used it on gloves and it helps a lot with that lingering damp smell. That said, there are a couple downsides. The cords and overall setup feel a bit lightweight, not exactly rugged industrial gear. I also wish the AC setup was a little more straightforward out of the box instead of thinking mostly in “car use” terms. And while it dries fast, it’s not instant—marketing makes it sound a little more aggressive than real-world use. Still, for what it is, I’ve found it pretty useful. Especially in winter when everything stays damp for days, it’s nice being able to dry stuff overnight or during a commute instead of waking up to cold, wet boots again.
